Description
The Apostles’ Creed is known as a confession of faith. In other words it is a “public declaration before God and all the world of what the church believes.” Since its earliest days the Christian church has been a confessional church. The Apostles’ Creed was developed to combat heresies (such as Gnosticism and Arianism) which denied the deity and humanity of Jesus.
