B90 Online
We use Crossway’s English Standard Version (ESV) for the daily B90 Scripture readings. You may choose to either listen to each day’s reading, or click the blue-colored Scripture reference to open a window to read the Bible, or read and listen simultaneously.
Day 1 • Summary of Genesis 1–15
The Bible story begins with four key events: Creation, the Fall, the Flood, and Babel (nations). Despite their idyllic home in Eden, Adam and Eve rebel against God’s moral authority and plunge the world into sin. God judges the growing evil population with a flood and later disperses them when they try to build a tower into the sky. God calls Abram and directs him to immigrate to the land of Canaan with a promise of land, seed, and blessing.
Day 2 • Summary of Genesis 16–28
Abram grows impatient and has a son, Ishmael, through his wife’s handmaid. God institutes the covenant of circumcision and changes Abram’s name to Abraham. Lot escapes the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham’s family grows with the birth of Isaac (the son of promise). God tests Abraham by requesting that he sacrifice his only son. Abraham obeys, and God provides a substitute. Later, Isaac has two sons: Jacob and Esau.
